Radio silence

We were without internet service for almost two days, which just brought home how much we depend on the internet as our connection to the world. It's where we get most of our news and it's how we interact with friends and family on a daily basis. And, of course, most importantly, it's how we blog!

Finally, we are able to get online again, and it is a relief to see that the world hasn't ended while we weren't looking. Our radio silence is over. Until the next break in the cables.

  1. I know how that feels! I just can't remember anymore life before the internet took over. :-D

    1. It is truly amazing how much we've come to depend on this tenuous connection and how frustrating it is when that connection is lost, even temporarily.

  2. Truly scary. When I can't get online, I wander the house feeling unsettled and so out of touch. Maybe I should visit one of my neighbors when that happens. In person! Ha Ha

    1. Wow! Visiting face-to-face instead of online - what a concept!
