I was so lost immediately. I kept reading the first 20 pages or so, trying to grasp what was going on. I decided I needed to start the series from the beginning. Haven't done so yet. Maybe after I finish all the Sara Paretsky books-3 to go. But I am drawn to this writer and Scotland keeps coming up for me as a place I want to read about.
