I've finally had to resort to using some pesticide - very sparingly. It's distressing to see a plant you've babied along for months destroyed overnight.Dorothy Bordershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12441731296027227394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3560838335414244511.post-26481051064632616892017-07-17T07:04:41.231-05:002017-07-17T07:04:41.231-05:00The last photo is just gorgeous, Dorothy! Seeing your lovely hibiscus makes me regret not planting any this year, though the Japanese beetles have been so bad here the past few weeks they would have eaten all the blooms anyway. Always a treat to see what's blooming in your garden!Rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01384059342847120951noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3560838335414244511.post-44931056428669315742017-07-16T22:24:01.834-05:002017-07-16T22:24:01.834-05:00I planted a dwarf form of Mexican sunflower this y...I planted a dwarf form of Mexican sunflower this year. It gets about 4 feet tall as opposed to the full size 6 - 8 and it's much more compact. The full sized ones tend to sprawl and can fall over from their own weight when full of blooms. I like the smaller one a lot and will be planting it from now on.Dorothy Bordershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12441731296027227394noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3560838335414244511.post-84494558047605267442017-07-16T18:43:24.091-05:002017-07-16T18:43:24.091-05:00Texas! Your flowers look great and it gives me ideas as to what I need to be planting. My Mexican Sunflower is only about two feet tall this year.
